Lesson 17 / HAIKU Poems
We started by reading 2 HAIKU poems.
HAIKU poems follow this syllable pattern...

We clapped out the syllables as we read the poems again.
Ram Brave helped us :)
Students were given a picture of a Willow Tree and told to come up with a class poem.
Together we wrote a HAIKU poem. River...was our subject.
River
tranquil waterfall
flowing swiftly through the trees
refreshing and crisp
Then...students were given a vase of flowers and told to come up with a class poem.
They had two options for an ending. Both work.
HOMEWORK:
Write 2 HAIKU poems.
