lesson 16- Story using props

One day at school we found out that our good friend was moving away.  We were so sad.  On our last day of school we had decided we would exchange things that would remind us about each other.  She gave us two Indian dolls to remind us of her.  The Indian dolls were special to her because her Grandma had given them to her.  We gave her a silver shiny cross to remind her of God.  She was scared to move away and we wanted to remind her that God was in control. We also gave her a shell to remind her of the fun times we shared together at the beach.  Having a friend move away is hard but we will always cherish the Indian dolls and remember how much we love our friend.

Lesson 15 - My Pet

Shimmer is our stray cat.  At first she was very scared, hissed a lot and was starving.  She has black and brown fur, green eyes and likes to meow.  We have been feeding her for three years and now she finally trusts us.  She lets us hold her and pet her.  You can tell she is happy because she purrs when we are around.  She doesn't feel like a stay cat anymore, she feels like she is mine.

Lesson 11

Once upon a time there were two lovely girls named Ella and Bella who lived in New York. One exciting day they were invited to a ball to meet a handsome Prince.  They were so thrilled they both ran out to buy a new dress.  Ella was so happy when she found her dress the only problem was Bella liked the same dress.  So they began to fight like crazy screaming monkeys in the store.  They started pulling each other's hair and clothes and before they knew it they had ripped each other's dresses.  Their dresses were so expensive so after buying the ripped dresses they could no longer afford another new dress.  They realized their hate and jealousy got in the way.  This was a really tough lesson for them to learn.

Metaphors/ Personifications/ beg, middle, end

Metaphors

Our house is a loud messy crazy zoo.

Dad is a gem.

Personifications

The car did sumersaults when it got hit by a large speeding truck.

The monkeys laughed as they swung branch to branch.

Beg/Middle/End "The Librarian Yelled"

When I was at the library last week a fire started when a little girl was playing with the matches she found in her moms purse.  The librarian yelled fearfully trying to get everyone out of the building.  After the firefighters came and put out the fire I thanked God everyone was okay.

Lesson 2

Beige

Hot salty crunchy french fries.

The 5w's

Yesterday when Aunt Jaime was at the St. Louis Cardinals game she yelled loudly as they scored a home run.

Today I saw a pigeon fly to it's nest to feed its baby birds.

Simile

The teenager's room was as filthy as money.

The laughter was as silly as a monkey.
